Our Abbey was founded almost 50 years ago. The foundresses arrived on October 18, 1964
and the first Mass was celebrated on November 4, 1964; we use this date as our
official foundation day. We are now
preparing our year of celebration which will begin on July 11th this
year, the feast of St. Benedict. We will
have a booklet about our fifty years and Sr. Kathleen, our archivist is going
through the old and new photo albums, picking and choosing what to include in
the booklet. It is good work for this extremely snowy and
cold winter season.
